Welcome. I am a registered holistic nutritionist (R.H.N.) and chef based in the Ottawa/Almonte area. In addition to being a Registered Holistic Nutritional Consultant, I have a degree in Culinary Management, and I am a certified Hatha Yoga teacher and traditional Usui Reiki master practitioner/instructor. I am a member of the Canadian Association of Holistic Nutrition Professionals (CAHN-Pro), and the Canadian Yoga Alliance (CYA). I also have the honour to teach on the faculty at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition (CSNN- Ottawa)

As part of my culinary background, I spent over four years working in two of Ottawa’s most vibrant & creative restaurants (SOCIAL and SIDEDOOR) located in the historic Byward Market in the heart of downtown Ottawa. Both of these restaurants allowed me to experience first-hand a progressive approach to food inspired by fresh seasonal produce and exotic spices. While working as a chef, I became interested in knowing how food affects our overall health. I decided to enroll with the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition to pursue another diploma in holistic nutrition. I then realized that having a healthy body also meant having an alignment with the mind and the soul.

I then started a Hatha Yoga Teacher Certificate, to take a deeper look at human health and its connectedness to food, environment, lifestyle factors, in order to live a fulfilled and balanced life. I now apply yogic principles with the practice of conscious breathing to deal with stress and enhance your life, and meditation to release anxiety. All of these have a positive effect on the Nervous system, Circulatory system, Respiratory system, Immune system, Endocrine system, Digestive system, Urinary system and Reproductive system.

Along the way I acquired my Master certification in traditional Usui Reiki.  I now practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected in order to achieve optimal health and deal with weight, reduce food cravings, increase sleep, and maximize energy. As we work together, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of the food and lifestyle choices that work best for you and implement lasting changes that will improve your energy, balance, physical health and mental health.

I believe that each person has unique food and lifestyle needs. Working on the principle of bio-individuality, I’ll support you to make positive changes that are based on your unique needs, lifestyle and preferences. I use a personalized, holistic approach to ensure that you will have great success.
